Access Fund work in North Carolina
- Discussed strategy, advised and sent resources to climber at Table Rock, North Carolina regarding an emergency raptor closure of an entire climbing area and working with the USFS to define closures based on science. (2006)
- Met with members of the CCC to tour the recently acquired Laurel Knob, NC and strategized issues of land acquisition, property management, and future projects (2006)
- Regional coordinator work: North Carolina: attended access Summit in AL; reorganized Carolina Climbers coalition; evaluating land acquisition opportunity at Rumbling Bald; organized clean-ups. (2004)
- Climbing preservation grants awarded in 2004: Carolina Climbers Coalition, North Carolina. The Carolina Climbers Coalition was awarded a grant to help pay for the updating and printing of their climber education brochures. (2004)
- Grandfather Mountain Corridor, NC. Awarded a $2,000 grant to conduct a survey of rock climbing in the Grandfather Mountain Corridor of North Carolina. The goal of the project is to assist the Park Service in the development of a Blue Ridge Parkway Climbing Management Plan. (2003)
- Asheboro Boulders, NC. Provided a grant to the Carolina Climbers Coalition that was used to reopen this privately owned bouldering area. (2002)
