Access Fund work in South Carolina
- The REI Adopt-a-Crag of the Year Award is presented to Michael Pinkston and the Carolina Climbers’ Coalition (CCC) for capturing the overall spirit of Adopt-a-Crag Day in each of their six events. Pinkston and the CCC rallied volunteers at six climbing destinations in the Carolinas: Crowder’s Mountain, Hager’s Mountain, Moore’s Wall, Looking Glass, Pilot Mountain, and the Ridge’s Boulderfields. “Having such an array of events, all sponsored by one grassroots local group, was a wake-up call to climbers in the Carolinas. Expect great things from us in the future,” (2002)
